Parish Council Elections
Parish Council Elections for the ward of Sawtry took place in May 2022 and will take place in May 2026.

I have lived in Sawtry since July 2002 and joined the Parish Council towards the end of 2018.
I chair the Community Committee and the Staffing Committee. The other committees I serve on are: Finance and General Purposes, Amenities and Planning.
I was the lead councillor in developing our Neighbourhood Plan, with the support of a professional consultant. Following Sawtry's Neighbourhood Plan Referendum a majority voted in favour of HDC using the Neighbourhood Plan to help decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area.

I have lived in Sawtry since October 2014, and joined the Sawtry Parish Council in June 2017.
I am a member of the Amenities and Communities Committees and also the Lead Councillor for Play Areas, which include St Judith's Field and the Play Park on Green End Road (opposite the Old School Hall).
I am also a member of the Accessibility Workgroup, who are looking into all aspects of Accessibility throughout Sawtry.
Simon Bywater was re-elected as the County Councillor for Sawtry in May 2021 and was also re-elected as District Councillor in May 2022.
Ross Martin was elected as District Councillor in May 2022.
Ben Obese-Jecty is the MP for Sawtry.
